This is a beautiful small keepsake urn meant to hold some ashes of a loved one. I am so impressed with its overall look and quality. The attention to detail shows in the intricate designs and coloring of the flowers, and honestly, this urn reminds me more of what you might see on a fine china dish pattern or vase than anything I have ever seen used before for an urn meant for ashes. The urn however is a matte finish, rather than glossy like dishes would be.
The color of the different flowers are all done in various shade of purple and blue, and the flowers include lilac, lupine, cosmos, hydrangeas, and others that I am less sure of. The spacing of the flowers gives the urn an airy appeal The urn itself measures about 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide at its widest point. The lid, which is about the size and thickness of a 50 cent coin, measures 1 1/2 inches across. Once opened, and actual space to add the ashes measures about 3/4 of an inch. This keepsake urn does not come with any small funnel to assist when adding the ashes, though you probably would not need one. However, if you did want one, you would have to find and purchase one on your own. The lid is very easy to screw on and off.
The bottom of this urn has been covered with a black velvet fabric. Also included in your purchase is a small black velvet drawstring bag labeled "Always With Me" in gold lettering to store your urn in if not keeping it out on a shelf.
I know this says it’s for an adult female. But my father and I shared so much together in the way of flowers and gardening. I wanted something small and with beautiful flowers in memory of my father. The colors are vibrant and it’s the perfect size for the few ashes that I had left. I just could not bare to part with all of them. I wanted just something of my father to stay with me. This small urn will be added with my mother‘s urn and together they will share a beautiful space together in the privacy of my room. I purchased the wood plate separately. I will be ordering a second urn in the different color to place my mom’s ashes. I used the small funnel to add the ashes and sealed it tightly. These urns have a tight screw on top. It was simple to do.
I was very happy with the urn for my mother's ashes. The colors were her favorite. My great niece was able to help me with the urn so the ceremony was very touching for me.
